But this weekend is the last one they will be on site before Christmas . . .The farmer's need to rest before they begin to harvest those new veggies for spring.
You will also find handcrafted silver, precious stone, up-cycled and vintage jewelry, and hand knitted scarves and hats to keep your head and your puppy's head warm, and handcrafted handbags, baby and puppy slings, hand-made unique fabric cell phone holders, original artwork by Jay Durrah, Virginia Wine Artist, Original Olivia, one of our youngest artisans who has just returned from Florence, Italy studying art. We also have skincare products, candles, and oh so much more!
And who can pass up on that delicious tasty foods while you shop up an hearty appetite! In addition to our kettle corn, smokes and chili, roasted nuts, breads, lobster rolls, funnel cakes, fried Oreos, and those delicious Glazey Days donuts, on the 'Way' we have a "celebrity chef" who has been in the kitchen baking loads of Christmas cookies! Just in case you have run out of time and not able to create those yummy crunchy goodies for Santa and the elves. Lynette has you covered.
Chef Lynnette Jackson joined the market offering young and seasoned to decorate their cookies on site! She's baked up a batch of cookies and all you have to do is drop by her tent and create your masterpiece! Once the cookies have dried, she will wrap them up and you are ready to go!
Chef Lynette . . . The Owner of Lynnette's Cakes and Catering in Annandale, Virginia Lynnette's interest was sparked at the age of 6 when her father taught her how to make scrambled eggs. From there she kept a genuine interest in the culinary world.After getting her Bachelors and Masters Degree, Lynnette dove straight into her passion by attending the Culinary School at the Art Institute of Washington earning her A.A.S in Culinary Arts. Today, she is living her dream and running her very own catering business! President of the AIW Culinary Club | Winner of AIW Iron Chef Competition. FOOD NETWORK Cupcake Wars Contestant | Featured on FOX 5 News, Living Social. She also won first place at the first Wine and Food Festival at National Harbor! and will be appearing on Channel 9 in January 2014.
